About Us

Michigan Hydraulic Dredging, Inc. has been serving your communities for over 40 years. We started out as Black Lake Dredging, but in 1980 incorporated to Michigan Hydraulic Dredging, Inc. We specialize in portable, "over the road" dredges. We are a low-keyed, low overhead company that is proud of it's dedicated crew with almost 0% personnel turnover.

Our services include, but are not limited to: small marinas, trout ponds, complete lake restorations. We also offer industrial dredging of steel mills and chemical plants.

We've just celebrated our 25th year as Michigan Hydraulic Dredging with an additional 15 years experience before we broke out on our own, bringing you over 40 years experience in the business!

Equipment

Michigan Hydraulic Dredging, Inc. uses an 8 inch Mudcat and 8 inch and 12 inch cutter head dredges. We use poly pipe for both dredges and boosters with the capability to pump spoils 2 1/2 miles.

We hydraulically pump spoils to a holding area or dyke, where the water returns to it's prior source and the spoils then dry and can be leveled and seeded or hauled to another site.
